If you appreciate what the Tesseract project does for you, consider donating to it.
The Evangelical Reformed Church of the Canton of Neuchâtel (EREN) website was designed with the aim of providing:
Tesseract was used for different purposes such as the listing of:
Tesseract was also used to create a photo gallery automatically from a subset of pictures stored in a resource management module (based on the DAM).
A resource management module has been developed for specific customer needs. The database contains a table with all related informations about the pictures. The selection of the subset of pictures is based on a tag. Tesseract is used to display this subset as a picture gallery enhanced by jQuery Facebox.
The major advantage of Tesseract in this case is to enable a rapid and simple implementation of a photo gallery by a TYPO3 integrator that can then be easily replicated elsewhere in the website by the customer.
This project shows how easy it can be to set up a photo gallery based on the DAM. The power of "dataquery" and "datafilter" make it possible to select specific DAM records, thus enabling targeted and dynamic photo galleries.
For the end user, the solution is also very easy to use, since it just depends on proper tagging of pictures in the DAM.
